POLISHED FAUX BIRCH BARK PLASTER IN THE HILFIGER CORAL HOUSE

In collaboration with Cindy Rinfret, SuperStrata artisan Patrick Shoemaker installed a unique finish to cover the living room walls of Tommy and Dee Hilfiger’s Palm Beach oasis in a finish that echoed some of the ceiling’s wood elements. He created a polished plaster with powdered pigments and organic aggregate similar to cocciopesto, which has small pieces of clay that smear when trowled, creating a look of birch bark.
